Built on hard work and doing it right
James grew up on job sites. Before he was ten he was helping tear shingles off roofs, and as he got older he took on whatever he could learn: carpentry, masonry and landscaping. Landscaping is the one that stuck.
He learned the trade at Bay Landscaping, working on landscaping, hardscaping, drainage, grading and sod, and seeing projects through from start to finish. In 2025 he started Superior Scapes.
Today the company is owner-operated. James answers the phone, gives every estimate and works every job, and brings in extra hands when a job is big enough to need them. Superior Scapes owns its trailers and rents top-quality machines from a local company for each job.
“I started Superior Scapes because I wanted to build a business around hard work, attention to detail, and doing things the right way. I take pride in showing up, doing the work, and leaving every property better than I found it.”
